The scope of our Policy
This policy applies to all electronic, written and oral communications of information, regardless of whether those communications and information is received by ROAD online or offline, and through any platform (social medias, websites and mobile applications)
ROAD commitment to its Donors and Supporters
ROAD wants to unequivocally assure our donors, supporters and partners that protecting your privacy is our utmost concern and responsibility. Our commitment to your privacy is as follow:
ROAD will not share, sell or trade its Donors, Supporters and Partners names or other personal information with a third party (person, groups or any other organization or entity), nor will ROAD send any communications to our Donors, Supporters and Partners on behalf of a third party (person, groups or any other organization or entity) excerpt as requested by our Donors, Supporters and partners, or when ROAD is using a third party as a service providers (e.g., to process donations). We are committed to protecting donor’s private information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. We take information security seriously and take measures to secure web access to sensitive data and undertake efforts to secure various tools and databases.
Types of information collected by ROAD
The following are examples of the types of information that ROAD collects and maintains from our Donors, Supporters and Partners:
- contact information: name (person, group, organization/company), complete address, phone numbers and email address, websites addresses, etc.
- donation information: amounts donated, date of donation(s), and the payment method used for the donation(s)
- the amount of hours our volunteers have volunteered with ROAD, the types of activities they conducted, etc.
- Donors/Supporters/Partners’ requests, comments, suggestions and recommendations
- others information gathered from database modeling firms
The above list is a sample of the ways in which your personal information may be collected. From time to time, we may also collect information from you in a way that is not described above.
How ROAD uses its Donors/Supporters/Partners information
ROAD will use its Donors/Supporters/Partners data to maintain records of the amount and/or items that were donated, to send acknowledgements, mail year-end tax statements, send newsletters, notices and direct mail pieces, and for internal purposes. For such aforementioned purposes, ROAD will add you to its mailing list, unless you request otherwise. Our third-party mailing service is contractually obligated to treat the lists with confidentiality and is prohibited from transferring them elsewhere. ROAD does NOT list individuals’ names in ANY of its publications. However, our Corporate and Foundation sponsors are listed in our Annual Report and event programs. Credit card numbers are NOT retained once processed. Our website has a SSL certificate. We will use your information to comply with the law or in a good faith belief that we are complying with the law, or comply with legal process served on us, to protect and defend our rights, or to act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of others. We use website statistics to analyze our website usage. If you create a personal URL at rosesoad.org, that information is used to personalize your internet experience.
Right to unsubscribe from ROAD mailing list
At any point in time, our Donors/Supporters/Partners have the right to unsubscribe or request for their mailing or email addresses to be removed from our mailing list if they so wish. Please send ROAD an Email info@rosesoad.org or call us at +1 651 815 2547

For changes that may impose less restrictions on our usage of your personal information, we will obtain your consent prior to implementing the change by sending a notice to the email or home address we have on file, as well as providing a prominent notice of the change on our website.
